Please provide a brief description of what you will be studying or doing while abroad.

Studying italian, art, cooking and humanities at an art institute in Florence. Will be traveling around Italy and surrounding countries. I plan on hiking in the alps, Cinque Terra and in the lake region. I plan on visiting sorrento, capri, and southern italy. I also plan on traveling to Munich, Vienna, Paris, and Barcelona.

Why do you want to become a Green Passport holder?

I want to be environmentally responsible while I am abroad. I think it is important that my actions are environmentally friendly such as traveling using mass transportation and buying local produce at mercato centrale in Florence.

I am a sustainability minor. I am involved with SEAC at UNC. I am also involved in the Environmental Action committee and work with volunteer groups who focus on recycling.
