UAE hosting "Global Renewable Energy Assembly"

As a country, the United Arab Emirates is said to have the largest per-capita carbon footprint on the planet - larger than the U.S., China, India, or any European nation. However, the leaders of the Gulf State have been proactive at seeking alternative and renewable energy solutions to their long-term economic and environmental development goals, and they want to be seen as the leader of this endeavor in the region. As a key example of the UAE's commitment to sustainability, the country is hosting a renewable energy assembly. Read more about the event here.
